Role Purpose:

The Inventory Assistant is responsible for supporting the efficient management of inventory operations by maintaining accurate stock records, monitoring stock levels, and ensuring proper storage and distribution of materials. The role aims to minimize discrepancies, prevent stock shortages, and support smooth day-to-day warehouse or store operations.


Key Task and Responsibilities:

 

  • Maintain accurate records of inventory, including receiving, storing, and issuing materials.
  • Perform regular stock counts and cycle counts to ensure inventory accuracy.
  • Update inventory systems and ensure all transactions are recorded in a timely manner.
  • Assist in monitoring stock levels and report shortages or excess inventory.
  • Coordinate with procurement and warehouse teams for stock replenishment.
  • Ensure proper labeling, storage, and organization of inventory items.
  • Support in preparing inventory reports and documentation.
  • Investigate and resolve discrepancies between physical stock and system records.
  • Follow company policies, safety standards, and inventory control procedures.

Experience, Knowledge and Skills:

 

  • 1–3 years of experience in inventory, warehouse, or storekeeping roles.
  • Basic knowledge of inventory management systems (ERP/WMS preferred).
  • Familiarity with stock control procedures and documentation.
  • Proficiency in MS Excel and basic computer applications.
  • Good numerical and record-keeping skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks.
