Role Purpose:

 The Team Leader – Soft Services is responsible for supervising and coordinating cleaning and housekeeping activities within the facility. The role ensures that all soft service operations are carried out efficiently, maintaining high standards of cleanliness, hygiene, and safety in accordance with company policies and client requirements.


Key Task and Responsibilities:

 

  • Supervise and coordinate the daily activities of cleaning staff to ensure tasks are completed as per schedule.
  • Ensure all areas of the facility are maintained to the required cleanliness and hygiene standards.
  • Allocate duties and monitor staff performance to ensure productivity and quality of service.
  • Conduct routine inspections of assigned areas and report any issues or deficiencies.
  • Ensure proper use and maintenance of cleaning equipment, materials, and chemicals.
  • Train and guide cleaning staff on proper cleaning procedures, safety practices, and company standards.
  • Maintain records such as attendance, cleaning schedules, and task completion reports.
  • Coordinate with supervisors and other departments to address operational requirements.
  • Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations.
  • Handle minor staff issues and escalate concerns to the supervisor when necessary.

Experience, Knowledge and Skills:

 

  • Minimum 2–4 years of experience in cleaning or soft services within facilities management.
  • Prior supervisory or team leader experience in housekeeping or cleaning services.
  • Knowledge of cleaning methods, equipment, and chemicals.
  • Basic understanding of health and safety procedures in facilities operations.
  • Ability to manage and motivate a team effectively.
  • Basic reporting and documentation skills.
