Role Purpose:

Incumbent will be responsible for tendering for MEP works and cost control for post contracts. The role combines responsibilities of both MEP estimation & quantity surveying to ensure financial success from bid to final account. 


Key Task and Responsibilities:

Cost Estimation & Budgeting: To support MEP Coordinator and provide accurate cost estimates for all MEP components during the pre contract phase and manage all aspects of cost control, valuation and commercial administration of MEP works during the project lifecycle.

Bills of Quantities (BOQs): Prepare detailed BOQs that list and quantify all MEP materials and labor required for the project. Setting out the project at the early stage, Study drawing in detail, maintain records & level survey.

Cost Control & Financial Management: Monitor project costs, identify cost-saving opportunities, and manage the budget to prevent overruns.

Contract Management: Oversee MEP-related contracts, ensuring compliance, resolving disputes, and processing contractor payments. All follow-ups with MEP contractor & ELV subcontractors to achieve Main contractors target dates & programme Establish the Critical path and monitor changes on regular basis (Interrogate the validity of Critical Path in Sub-contractors programmes).

Material & Labor Quantification: Calculate the necessary quantities of MEP materials and labor, coordinating procurement with project timelines.

Collaboration: Work closely with architects, engineers, clients, and contractors to align financial and technical aspects of the project.

Reporting: Prepare detailed cost reports, financial reports, and track project progress, including plant, material, and labor spending. Keeping final record sheets. Setting out and leveling work at site. Monitoring procurement & progress of MEP & ELV subcontractor on a regular basis & report to PM for any possible major failure

Site Visits & Analysis: Attend project meetings and conduct site visits to gather information and monitor progress. Issue advise of Defect against any quality issues & Non-Compliance of specification & Local Authority requirements to subcontractors


Experience, Knowledge and Skills:

Degree in Engineering

Minimum 5 years of required experience.

Should be Influencing, Negotiating & Customer Focussed

Expert in Planning, Organizing, Scheduling & Coordinating

Should be good in Decision Making, Problem Solving & Time Management.

Fluent in English – written, Oral & Presentation.
