Role Purpose:

The Pest Control Technician is responsible for inspecting, identifying, and treating pest infestations in residential, commercial, or industrial facilities. The role involves applying chemicals and using equipment safely and efficiently to control or eliminate pests while ensuring compliance with health and safety standards.

Key Task and Responsibilities:

• Inspect premises to identify pest activity and determine treatment needs.
• Apply approved pesticides and treatments in targeted areas.
• Set traps, baits, and other preventive measures.
• Maintain service records and treatment reports.
• Adhere to safety procedures and environmental regulations.
• Provide advice on pest prevention and follow-up services.

Experience, Knowledge and Skills:

• Ability to recognize different types of insects, rodents, and other pests, including their behavior and life cycles.
• Understanding of various pest control techniques, including chemical and non-chemical methods, traps, and barriers.
• Knowledge of safe and effective pesticide application methods, including mixing, storage, and disposal of pesticides.
• Familiarity with local, state, and federal regulations regarding pest control and pesticide use.
• Knowledge of pest control equipment, including sprayers, traps, and other tools, and their proper maintenance.
• Ability to move around buildings, climb stairs, and operate equipment.
