Role Purpose:

The Landscaping Supervisor is responsible for overseeing daily landscaping operations on site, managing teams of gardeners and technicians, ensuring high-quality horticultural practices, and maintaining landscaped areas according to project or client specifications.

Key Task and Responsibilities:

• Supervise and coordinate activities of landscape teams, including gardeners, irrigation technicians, and labourers.
• Ensure execution of landscaping works such as planting, pruning, weeding, mowing, fertilizing, and pest control as per approved plans and schedules.
• Conduct routine inspections of landscaped areas to ensure health of plants and overall site cleanliness and maintenance.
• Oversee use and maintenance of landscaping tools and machinery; report damages or breakdowns.
• Monitor irrigation systems and coordinate with irrigation technicians to ensure proper water distribution.
• Maintain accurate records of work completed, materials used, and manpower deployment.
• Train and mentor site operatives on horticultural techniques and safety procedures.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental standards.
• Communicate daily with engineers or project managers regarding progress, site needs, and challenges.
• Support softscape implementation including soil preparation, planting layout, and turf laying.
• Coordinate logistics for plants, materials, and consumables required on site.

Experience, Knowledge and Skills:

• Certification or diploma in horticulture or landscaping preferred.
• 2-5 years of experience in landscape maintenance or installation, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role.
• Knowledge of regional plant species, soil types, and horticultural best practices.
• Familiarity with irrigation systems and basic troubleshooting.
• Ability to read and interpret landscape drawings and work schedules.
• Good communication and leadership skills to manage multicultural workforce.
• Physically fit and able to work outdoors in all weather conditions.
• Basic English communication skills (written and spoken); knowledge of other languages is a plus.
