Role Purpose:

The Business Development Manager (BDM) is responsible for identifying, developing, and securing new business opportunities in the facility management (FM) sector. This role involves market research, client acquisition, proposal development, and contract negotiations to drive revenue growth and expand the company’s portfolio of FM services.


Key Task and Responsibilities:

Business Growth & Sales Strategy
Develop and execute a strategic plan to acquire new clients and expand market share in the FM industry.
Identify potential business opportunities through networking, cold calling, and industry events.
Achieve assigned sales targets and revenue growth objectives.

Client Relationship Management

Build and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers and stakeholders.
Conduct client meetings, presentations, and negotiations to secure long-term contracts.
Ensure customer satisfaction and identify opportunities for upselling or cross-selling services.

Proposal Development & Tender Management
Lead the preparation of bids, RFPs, and commercial proposals tailored to client requirements.
Collaborate with operations and finance teams to structure competitive pricing models.
Ensure timely submission of high-quality proposals and tender documents.

Market Research & Competitive Analysis
Analyze industry trends, competitor strategies, and market demands to refine business strategies.
Identify emerging opportunities in integrated FM services, sustainability, and technology-driven solutions.
Provide insights on market positioning and value propositions.

Contract Negotiation & Closure
Lead contract negotiations to ensure favorable terms and conditions for the company.
Work closely with legal and finance teams to finalize agreements.
Ensure proper documentation and compliance with contractual obligations.

Collaboration with Internal Teams
Work closely with the operations, finance, and legal teams to align service offerings with client needs.
Coordinate with marketing teams to develop promotional materials and campaigns.
Provide feedback from clients to enhance service quality and innovation.


Experience, Knowledge and Skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Engineering, or a related field (MBA preferred).
  • Minimum 5-8 years of experience in business development within the FM or related industry.
  • Strong understanding of integrated FM services (hard & soft services).
  • Experience in handling large-scale contracts, tenders, and B2B negotiations.
  • Proficiency in CRM tools, MS Office, and data analysis.
