Role Purpose:

This position will be accountable for labour welfare, wellbeing, relations and engagement. It will support all onboarding, offboarding, camp administration, and other labour relations matters/activities in camps for labour. The Labour Relations and Administration Manager will be the primary point of contact for all operatives, HRBPs & HR Operations to provide support as per the defined mandate.


Key Task and Responsibilities:

Seamless onboarding and Offboarding experience for all operatives:
Welcoming newly hired employees and executing the engagement plan throughout the onboarding journey from landing at the airport in UAE to their respective accommodations, ensuring an excellent experience for new employees and a smooth start into their roles.
Provide all administrative support to the HR Operations Team for Medical/Emirates ID Processing.
Oversee the camp induction and orientation for all new joiners, ensuring the allocation of bed space, uniforms and other necessary items as per the stipulated camp standards.
Ensure smooth and seamless offboarding of exiting operatives in collaboration with the HROPs & HRBP(SR.)
Coordinate repatriation tickets in consultation with the HR operations team and arrange a drop-off to the airport.
Coordinate with business administrators for operatives going on leave and support the administration of leave tickets and ground transport to & from the airport.

Labour Relations and Engagement:
Work closely with HRBP/SHRBP to resolve employee conflicts and disciplinary and grievance issues arising at camp per the defined policies and procedures.
Provide support to HRBPs in investigating and resolving employee complaints, grievances, and conflicts.
Work with HRBPs & HROPs to develop and implement initiatives to improve operatives, welfare, morale and engagement.  
Provide support to HRBPs in monitoring and analyzing employee relations trends and recommend proactive measures to address issues.
Collaborate with HRBPs in execution of training programs & welfare initiatives for operatives.

Camp Accommodation Administration and Coordination:
Work closely with stakeholders in procuring the camps based on the business needs and defined camp standards.
Work closely with Health and Safety to monitor camp standards, guidelines, and rules and ensure adherence by all occupants.
Ensure camp occupancy data is updated and reported as per the defined frequency.
Instill health, hygiene, welfare and wellbeing among operatives at all times

Process Improvement: Efficiencies, Effectiveness & Optimizations through Innovations :
Challenging the status quo and proactively identifying process improvements.
Identifying innovative and creative ways to onboard new employees/reach a more scalable and measurable onboarding experience.
Ensuring compliance with all processes and maintaining a high level of confidentiality.
Liaise with HRBP/SHRBP & HR Operations Manager as and when required on all employees' life cycle activities

And any other duties as may be assigned from time to time.


Experience, Knowledge and Skills:

Bachelor’s degree in human resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
Proven experience in employee relations roles for the blue-collar workforce in contracting/facility management.  
Knowledge of labour laws, regulations, and best practices would be an added advantage
Strong communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail. A UAE Driver’s license or acquiring one in a reasonable time is a must.
Proficient in English & Hindi language (Arabic would be an advantage)
Ability to supervise & lead the team.
Ability to deal with employees from multi-cultural backgrounds.
