The job holder will be primarily responsible for coordinating & assisting Tradesman/workers for carrying out periodic site/maintenance work progress in all day-to-day activities, ensuring all technical works in accordance with specification and the project management manual. First line manager of staff from all disciplines employed on contracts.
Daily Operations Management: Oversee and manage the reactive maintenance and repairs of civil assets, including structural works, masonry, carpentry, and painting. Ensure task statuses are monitored in the CAFM system or equivalent tools (e.g., Excel) to ensure civil tasks are progressing according to plan. Evaluate subordinates and provide recommendations or comments to the Senior Civil Engineer or Civil Manager. Perform audits of tools and equipment used for civil works to ensure availability and compliance with safety regulations.
Resource Management: Manage and allocate resources, including personnel, equipment, and materials, for civil maintenance and repairs. Ensure that civil maintenance consumables and materials are available at the site, managing inventory in the CAFM system or equivalent tools. Maintain accurate registers and records of materials and resources used for civil maintenance.
Safety & Compliance: Plan and schedule work assignments, ensuring that a safe system of work is in place for all civil maintenance activities. Lead by example, setting high standards for safe working practices and adherence to safety regulations in civil tasks. Supervise and monitor the team to ensure compliance with safety standards and provide feedback for continuous improvement. Participate in emergency procedures, ensuring the team is well-versed in safety protocols for civil works.
Civil Maintenance: Conduct regular QHSE inspections (L10) of civil assets, ensuring building and infrastructure integrity meets safety and operational standards. Ensure prompt resolution of civil maintenance issues, with a focus on timely and high-quality service delivery. Provide technical support and engage in troubleshooting efforts for complex civil maintenance issues.
Customer Satisfaction: Liaise with clients or their representatives as necessary to ensure that civil works meet expectations and specifications. Maintain a high level of customer satisfaction through effective communication and problem-solving. Provide feedback to management on service delivery, addressing any concerns related to civil works.
Quality Control: Ensure that all civil maintenance works adhere to the required standards of quality, conducting regular checks and inspections. Address any deficiencies in civil works and ensure consistent, high-quality service delivery.
Civil Engineering Diploma/ITI with 8 years’ Experience in the FM field.
IOSH Supervising Safely or Equivalent
At least 4 years’ experience in a Supervisory role.
Good Knowledge of all elements of FM services both Hard and Soft.
Fluency in English and additional Languages is a plus.
Computer knowledge is a must
