Role Purpose:

Business - Khansaheb Bespoke Contracting

Assist Managing QS in managing commercial activities of project including valuation, subcontract management, variations (identification & evaluation), site inspection, tender & contract processes.

Key Task and Responsibilities:

Prepare enquiries to be sent to Sub-Contractors and Suppliers and evaluate tenders on return, interview and negotiate with them if necessary, discuss potential problems and advise the Contracts/ Project Manager in placing a Sub-Contract order.

Prepare Sub-contract and Supplier agreements

Prepare / maintain site records such as: Record of work done/daywork sheets; Confirmation of Site Instruction sheet; Drawing register and other site records.

Identify and evaluate changes to the contract, assess the associated costs (including rate build-ups) and reach agreement with PQS.

Prepare interim valuations for discussion with the Senior QS and assess and agree PQS evaluations and certificates.

Prepare interim payment certificates and agree Sub-Contractor’s and Suppliers final accounts.

Reconcile actual labour, material and plant outputs achieved on site and compare against tender allowances and report to Managing QS.

Prepare requisitions for materials/ plant with due consideration to tender allowances.

Assist in the preparation of final accounts.

Assist the Managing QS in the preparation of notifications and particulars of any claim for extension of time and disruption and assemble supporting information.

Prepare cost and value information for monthly account meetings.

Experience, Knowledge and Skills:

 5 to 7 years of experience

Should be Influencing, Negotiating & Customer Focussed

Expert in Planning, Organizing, Scheduling & Coordinating

Should be good in Decision Making, Problem Solving & Time Management.

Fluent in English – written, Oral & Presentation.
