Role Purpose:

Business - Khansaheb Facility Management


Senior Bid Estimator is responsible to develop accurate and competitive cost estimates for large-scale bids and tenders in the Facilities Management industry. This role involves analysing project specifications, understanding the scope of work, and collaborating with various internal stakeholders to ensure that all cost elements are considered. The Senior Bid Estimator plays a crucial role in ensuring the company submits well-prepared and financially sound bids that enhance the likelihood of winning contracts while maintaining profitability.


Key Task and Responsibilities:

Cost Estimation: Build the service delivery models with detailed cost estimates by applying optimum methods to minimize costing for facilities management projects, including hard and soft services. Analyse tender documents, specifications, and drawings to determine project requirements. Estimate costs related to labour, materials, equipment, subcontractors, and other resources.

Bid Preparation: Collaborate with bid managers and other stakeholders to develop competitive bid proposals.
Ensure all estimates are accurate, comprehensive, and align with the client’s requirements.  Identify and assess potential risks and opportunities within the bid process.

Market Analysis: Conduct market research to stay updated on industry trends, pricing structures, and competitor activities. Evaluate historical data and industry benchmarks to inform cost estimation strategies.

Vendor and Subcontractor Coordination: Obtain and evaluate quotes from vendors and subcontractors to ensure competitive pricing. Negotiate terms with suppliers to optimize cost efficiency.

Documentation and Reporting: Prepare and present detailed bid proposals to senior management for approval. Maintain accurate records of all estimates, bids, and related documents. Provide post-bid analysis and feedback to improve future estimating processes.

Team Collaboration: Work closely with the operations and procurement teams to ensure estimates reflect practical and executable plans. Support project managers with cost information during the project execution phase.

Continuous Improvement: Review and refine estimating processes to enhance accuracy and efficiency.
Participate in post-project reviews to identify lessons learned and areas for improvement.

Any other duties as assigned from time to time.


Experience, Knowledge and Skills:

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Quantity Surveying, or a related field.
5+ years of experience in cost estimation, preferably within the facilities management industry.
Strong understanding of facilities management services, including maintenance, cleaning, security, and technical services.
Proficiency in estimation software and tools.
Excellent analytical, mathematical, and problem-solving skills.
Strong attention to detail and the ability to work under tight deadlines.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Familiarity with relevant industry standards and regulations.
