Role Purpose:
A Press Machine Operator operates, sets up, and maintains industrial presses—such as metal press brakes, die-cutting equipment—to shape, cut materials according to production specifications.
Key Task and Responsibilities:
- Machine Setup & Operation: Load raw materials (metal sheets, coils, or rubber), set up dies/molds, and configure machine parameters, pressure, and stroke rates.
- Quality Control: Inspect finished parts or prints for dimensions, defects, burrs, cracks, or misalignment using measuring tools like calipers and gauges.
- Maintenance & Troubleshooting: Perform routine checks, clear scrap or slugs, lubricate moving parts, and report mechanical wear or major malfunctions to supervisors.
- Safety Compliance: Follow strict UAE workplace safety rules, use two-hand controls or safety guards, and maintain a clean, hazard-free workstation.
- Team Coordination: Coordinate with production, design, and shift supervisors to meet daily output targets and log shift production reports.
Experience, Knowledge and Skills:
- Experience: Generally 2 to 5 years of hands-on experience operating press or heavy manufacturing machinery in the UAE.
- Technical Skills: Ability to read basic technical drawings, blueprints, or job orders, and understand material properties (metal thickness, GSM, etc).
- Education: High school diploma, vocational training, or ITI certification in mechanical fabrication, metalworking, or similar.
- Physical Fitness: Ability to stand for long shifts, lift heavy materials, and work in active manufacturing or workshop environments.
